You stop noticing twenty minutes.
That is the whole problem.

Nearly every hour we find in an audit is one of six shapes. Once you can name them, you start seeing them everywhere — and most of them are ordinary software problems with no AI in them at all.

01

Typing it in twice

The same information keyed into two systems because they don’t talk to each other.

02

Building the same report every week

Somebody exports, pastes, formats and sends — every week, for years.

03

Looking for something you already own

The answer exists. Finding it is the job.

04

Asking the one person who knows

Know-how that lives in a head, and stops when that head is on holiday.

05

Chasing

Quotes, approvals, paperwork, payments. Nobody’s job, everybody’s afternoon.

06

The rules that live in somebody’s head

How you price, who gets priority, what the exception is. Written down nowhere.

Work out what one of them costs you

Minutes × times per week × 4.33 ÷ 60 = hours a month. Do it for the one that annoys you most. That number is the whole business case, and you don’t need us to calculate it.

Business Automation, Built For You

Not every job needs AI — and when simple automation beats it, we'll say so. Process automation, data analysis, smart assistants and the private AI underneath them, priced as fixed projects and owned by you.

The Inferred Ladder

Five rungs, each one optional until it earns the next. You climb at your own pace — and you own everything we build at every step.

1

Qualify

A free 15-minute call. Bring one question your business struggles to answer — we'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and what we'd do first. No pitch, no obligation.

2

Operations Audit

A fixed-price look at how your business actually runs — where the hours go, what your data could answer, and what's worth automating. You get a written report you keep, whoever you hire.

3

Build

Fixed-price automation projects, quoted from the audit. We design, build, test and train — and you own the result outright, code included. No day-rate drift, no surprises.

4

Cortex

Our AI appliance, installed in your building — the memory of your business. From £4,950, yours outright. Many businesses start here directly.

5

Care

Optional ongoing support from £195/month — monitoring, updates, tested backups and small fixes, on a rolling month with no lock-in. Cancel any time; everything keeps working.

Not ready for AI at all? That's fine — plenty of our work is straightforward business automation with no AI in it. The ladder works the same way.

Built for SMEs That Want a Competitive Edge

Whether you're in a regulated profession or just tired of manual admin, the work takes the same shape wherever the paperwork piles up. Four sectors we have built for most often, each with five named solutions and what they cost.

Could AI save your business time?

Tick anything that sounds familiar. Be honest — nobody's watching.

0 ticked — tick what rings true and see where you land.

Take the thinking away with you

Eight free tools and two plain-English guides — the AI Policy Pack, a policy builder, a cost calculator, a jargon decoder, sourced statistics and three short films. No forms, no email gates, and several of them run entirely in your browser.

How It's Built — In Plain English

You don't need to read this section to buy from us. But if you (or your IT person) want to know how the machinery works, here it is without the jargon.

Everything runs where you say it runs — in your building, on your network, under your control. No cloud accounts, no third parties handling your data, no software that stops working if a supplier changes their mind.

It lives in your building

The AI runs on hardware we install on your premises. Your documents are read there, your questions are answered there, and nothing about the process touches the internet.

Models you keep, not rent

We use openly published AI models installed on your machine — not a subscription to someone else's black box. Nobody can raise the price, change the rules, or switch it off remotely.

Works with what you have

It reads the files you already own — shared drives, spreadsheets, PDFs, scans, old Word documents — and connects to the software you already use. Nothing needs replacing.

The questions you're right to ask

What about GDPR?

Compliance is about how you process data, so it stays your assessment to make and we won't claim otherwise. What we can say is narrower: because everything runs on your premises, your data isn't transferred to a third party for AI processing, which takes the hardest questions (international transfers, processor agreements, retention on someone else's servers) off the table. You remain the controller of your own data, and we'll give your adviser the paperwork to check it.

What if the AI makes things up?

Ours is built not to bluff. Answers come from your own documents with the source shown, exact figures are computed from your spreadsheets rather than guessed, and when the answer isn't in your files, it says so plainly. You can always check its working — that's the point of the sources.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Nothing. The system doesn't use the internet to work — that's the whole idea. Your team keeps asking questions and getting answers on your own network while the broadband is down.

Can it read scans and old PDFs?

Yes. Scanned paperwork, old PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets — including the legacy files from years back. If your business can open it, we can usually make it answerable.

What does Cortex cost?

From £4,950 installed — one price, yours outright, with your first three months of care included. After that, Cortex Care is optional at £195 a month on a rolling basis: monitoring, updates, tested backups and small fixes, cancel any time. And if you never pay us another penny, everything keeps working — that's what owning it means.

You're one person. What happens if something happens to you?

A fair question, and the answer is architectural rather than a promise: Cortex keeps working without us — it runs on your premises, doesn't phone home, and nothing about it expires. You own everything we build, including the code, and it's documented for handover so any competent engineer could pick it up. We'd rather prove continuity through ownership than ask you to take it on faith.
