About Inferred Ltd
Sovereign AI infrastructure for UK businesses — built locally, operated locally.
Our Story
Inferred Ltd was founded on a simple observation: the companies that benefit most from AI will be those that can safely use their own data without exposing it to third parties. Yet most businesses lack the resources, expertise, or confidence to deploy AI privately.
We exist to close that gap. We design, build, and operate secure on-premise AI systems so small and medium enterprises across the UK can harness the power of artificial intelligence — without sacrificing data privacy, compliance, or control.
Our Mission
To make private, sovereign AI accessible to every business regardless of size or technical maturity. We believe data sovereignty is not a luxury — it is a fundamental requirement for any organisation handling sensitive information.
"AI should work for you, not for someone else's cloud platform. Your data stays yours — always."
Our Values
- Data sovereignty first: Every system we build keeps data within our client's control.
- No vendor lock-in: We use open-weight models and open-source tools so you retain full autonomy.
- Engineering excellence: We are systems engineers at heart — everything we build is robust, maintainable, and well-documented.
- Simplicity: Complex technology should feel simple for the people using it.
- Long-term partnerships: We don't deploy and disappear. We support, iterate, and evolve alongside our clients.
The Team
Charlie is a UK-based systems engineer specialising in AI infrastructure, container orchestration, and custom data pipelines. With deep expertise across Python, Laravel, and edge computing, he designs every Inferred solution from first principles — ensuring each system is purpose-built for its client's specific operational context.
He leads all architecture design, deployment, and ongoing optimisation. Charlie's approach combines rigorous engineering standards with an unwavering focus on practical business outcomes.
Why Horsham?
We are based in Horsham, West Sussex. Being local means site visits happen the same week rather than the same quarter, and that the person who scoped the work is the person who installs it. It doesn't make us your compliance adviser — that's a job for your solicitor or accountant, and we'll say so rather than guess.
